The Intel Core i3-6100 is a desktop processor with Dual Core and Quad Core CPU thread. It is part of the Core i3 lineup, using the Skylake architecture with Socket 1151. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled, to 4 threads. Core i3-6100 has 4MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.7 GHz. Intel is making the Core i3-6100 on a 14 nm production node using 1,400 million transistors.

With a TDP of 51 W, the Core i3-6100 consumes typical power levels for a modern PC.

Memory
Supports DDR4 memory with a dual-channel interface. The highest officially supported memory speed is 2133/2400 MHz.
 
Graphics
This processor features the Integrated Intel HD 530 integrated graphics solution.
For communication with other components in the computer, Core i3-6100 uses a PCI-Express Gen 3 connection.
 
Other Features
Hardware virtualization is available on the Core i3-6100, which greatly improves virtual machine performance.
